Community Involvment
Northampton Fire Rescue
Every year during Fire Safety Week, Northampton Fire Rescue makes a special visit to Yiayia's Daycare Learning Academy, bringing excitement and education to the young learners. The firefighters arrive in full gear and with their fire truck, giving children a hands-on opportunity to explore the vehicle and learn about its life-saving equipment. Through engaging demonstrations and age-appropriate lessons, they teach the importance of fire safety, including how to stop, drop, and roll, and the value of having a family escape plan. This annual tradition not only builds awareness but also fosters trust between the children and their local heroes, making fire safety both memorable and meaningful.
Northampton Police Department
As part of our Community Helpers curriculum, Yiayia's Daycare Learning Academy is proud to welcome the Northampton Police Department for an annual visit that inspires and educates our young learners. Halloween Parade
Every year at Yiayia's Daycare Learning Academy, Halloween is celebrated with festive excitement through our annual Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Decoration Contest. Children dress up in their favorite costumes and proudly march in the parade, showing off their creativity and imagination to families and friends.
